Burst Pipeline Cuts Water Supply to Tema and Surrounding Areas.
A major water disruption has hit Tema and its neighboring communities due to a burst on a 42-inch transmission pipeline from the Kpong Water Treatment Plant. Ghana Water Limited (Tema Region) confirmed the issue in a December 2, 2024, statement, assuring residents that engineers are working to fix the pipeline.The affected areas include Tema Communities 1–26, Tema Newtown, Sakumono, Batsonaa, Ashaiman, Prampram, Dawhenya, Afienya, Mataheko, Kpone, Golf City, and Old and New Ningo. The management has promised to restore water supply as soon as repairs are complete.
