Troops kill five terrorists, rescue three abducted children in Borno
Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralised five terrorists and rescued three abducted children in separate operations carried out in Borno State. The Joint Task Force said the operations took place between February 20 and 21 as part of ongoing efforts to crush insurgent groups in the North East. Spokesman for Operation Hadin Kai, Lieutenant Colonel Sanni Uba, said troops on fighting patrol made contact with suspected JAS and ISWAP members around Sabsawa village. The soldiers opened fire and forced the terrorists to flee, and later found five of them dead during a follow up search. In a related operation, troops deployed at Ngurosoye in Bama Local Government Area rescued three children during a perimeter patrol.
