Russia warns US-Israeli attacks on Iran could spark ‘catastrophe’
Russia has condemned US and Israeli strikes on Iran as a “dangerous adventure” that could push the Middle East to the brink of humanitarian, economic and even radiological catastrophe. In a strongly worded statement, Moscow accused Washington and Tel Aviv of openly seeking to destroy Iran’s constitutional order and overthrow a government that refuses to submit to Western “hegemonism”. The foreign ministry said the aggressors would bear full responsibility for any chain reaction of escalating violence triggered by their actions.
