Middle East crisis: IGP puts police on red alert nationwide

Acting Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu has placed all police commands across Nigeria on red alert in response to escalating tensions in the Middle East. The move follows the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, which has raised concerns about possible spillover effects and attempts by local actors to exploit the situation. In a statement by Force Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, the police said Nigeria’s internal security remains stable but proactive steps are being taken to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
