The management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) in the Ashanti Region faces backlash for allegedly failing to occupy newly constructed bungalows meant to replace buildings marked for demolition. Investigations reveal the land on which the old bungalows are located is part of 400 acres ceded to the Asantehene due to historical compensation disputes.Disgruntled staff of the GWCL, draped in red armbands, expressed frustration over what they described as the unlawful demolition of managers' properties. Two bungalows have already been demolished, and five others are earmarked for redevelopment by a private developer.
