Tinubu orders full probe into Kano Singer Market fire

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a comprehensive investigation into the fire outbreak that destroyed shops and goods at Singer Market in Kano State. He also commiserated with traders and residents, describing the incident as tragic and deeply distressing. The fire started on Saturday evening and raged into Sunday morning, causing major damage to the popular food and provisions market. Market leaders said properties worth more than N5 billion were lost, with over 1,000 businesses affected. Fire guts Kano essential commodities market

An early morning fire on Monday has gutted parts of the Kano essential commodities market, popularly known as Singa market, destroying yet to be quantified goods and property. The inferno was reported to have broken out in the early hours of the day, though details of how it started and the full extent of damage were still sketchy at the time of filing this report. Spokesperson for the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif, said the agency received a distress call at about 3:16 a.m. and immediately deployed firefighters to the scene in a bid to contain the blaze. Fire guts Computer Village building, destroys goods worth millions

A night time fire has destroyed a one storey commercial building on Somoye Street in Computer Village, Ikeja, Lagos, burning property worth several millions of naira. The affected building housed shops used for the storage and sale of computers and accessories.​ Eyewitnesses said the fire started around midnight and spread quickly because of the volume of combustible materials inside. Emergency responders arrived after distress calls and battled the flames through the night.​ No life was lost, but an officer of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service sustained minor injuries during the operation. Fire razes Ibadan market, destroys properties worth millions

A fire outbreak has destroyed goods worth millions of naira at Ogundipe Market, Agodi Gate, in Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State on Wednesday. According to officials, 14 out of 42 shops in the market complex were completely razed, with traders losing valuable goods and properties. Confirming the incident, the Special Adviser on Fire Reform and Chairman of the Fire Services Agency, Hon.
