FCTA promotes 49 deputy directors to directors
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has promoted 49 Deputy Directors to the rank of Director across various departments, moving from Grade Level 16 to 17. The promotions followed the approval of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike after the release of results from the administration’s first-ever computer-based promotion examination. The exam was held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at the National Open University’s Duste-Alhaji Study Centre in Bwari Area Council. According to a statement by the Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications, Lere Olayinka, the exercise was designed to clear promotion backlogs from 2023 to 2025 for officers on Grade Level 16.
