Ronaldo jets out of Saudi Arabia to Madrid as US–Iran conflict escalates
Al Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has left Saudi Arabia for Madrid amid escalating US–Iran tensions and drone attacks that have hit targets in the kingdom and across the Gulf. Flight tracking data showed his Bombardier Global Express private jet departing Riyadh on Monday night and landing in the Spanish capital after a roughly seven hour flight over Egypt and the Mediterranean. His departure came hours after Iranian drones struck the US embassy compound in Riyadh, part of a wider wave of retaliatory missile and drone attacks across the region following the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in US–Israeli strikes.
