NELFUND Urges Schools to Upload Student Records for Loans
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has called on all accredited tertiary institutions to update and upload their students' records to its verification portal. This preparatory step is for the official opening of the loan application portal for the 2025/2026 academic session. The agency stated that only students whose details have been duly uploaded and verified by their institutions will be eligible to apply for the student loan scheme. NELFUND emphasized the critical role of schools in ensuring a seamless process and urged them to appoint qualified officers to oversee the data upload in line with its technical guidelines. The move is part of the government's agenda to facilitate equitable access to higher education through financial support.
