One Killed as Notorious Armed Robbery Suspects Are Arrested in Ashanti Region
On June 27, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Police Command conducted a special operation in Kumasi targeting a notorious armed robbery gang involved in violent home invasions. The raid ended in a shootout, claiming the life of one suspect, later identified as Bernard Owusu Ansah (“Hot Boy”), who died from gunshot wounds at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).
