Rivers APC Spokesman Hails Interior Minister Tunji-Ojo’s Performance
As President Bola Tinubu’s administration marks two years in office, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has been singled out for praise by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State. In a statement issued Thursday in Abuja, APC spokesman Comrade Darlington Nwauju described Tunji-Ojo as a model public servant whose performance has “set benchmarks that make Nigeria’s younger generation proud.” Nwauju highlighted the minister’s achievements, including the promotion of more than 100,000 officers across paramilitary agencies, reforms in correctional centers, and initiatives to improve inmate welfare and rehabilitation. These include the establishment of furniture, leather, and shoe factories in prisons, as well as the release of over 4,000 inmates through ₦585 million raised from corporate organizations.
