Ghana’s booming coconut industry is creating substantial employment opportunities, providing nearly one million jobs across the value chain. The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, highlighted the industry's potential at the recent 3rd International Coconut Festival. The sector is contributing significantly to Ghana’s economy through production, processing, and exportation of coconuts and coconut-related products.The country has seen a rise in global demand for its coconuts, especially in Europe and Asia, where Ghanaian coconuts are recognized for their quality. Investments in coconut farming have surged, with smallholder farmers, agro-processors, and exporters benefiting from the growing market.
