Actor Taye Arimoro rejects AGN suspension over alleged on-set assault
Actor Taye Arimoro has denounced his indefinite suspension by major Nollywood guilds over an alleged on-set assault, describing their joint statement as “inaccurate” and promising to challenge it in court. The case stems from a reported clash on the set of the film “Pieces of Love” involving producer and actress Peggy Ovire. Arimoro alleges that trouble started when he attempted to leave the set after his scheduled call time elapsed, claiming Ovire blocked his vehicle and that he was subsequently detained and assaulted by her team. He is demanding N100 million in compensation from Ovire and has dismissed her version of events as “grossly misleading.” Ovire, on the other hand, maintains that Arimoro was the aggressor in the incident.
