Upper East Regional Peace Council Conducts Capacity-Building Workshop for Cross-Border Traders.
The Upper East Regional Peace Council recently held a two-day capacity-building workshop in Zebilla, aimed at educating women and youth engaged in cross-border trade on how to prevent violent extremism and protect their communities.The event brought together 240 participants from four districts in the Upper East Region. The initiative focused on raising awareness of the risks associated with terrorism and conflict, as well as encouraging attendees to report suspicious activities to local security agencies.David Angaamba, the Principal Program Manager of the Upper East Regional Peace Council, emphasized the importance of involving youth and women in these efforts.
