PDP Govs Slam ADC Over Zamfara Meeting Criticism
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has defended its recent meeting in Zamfara State, accusing the African Democratic Congress (ADC) of politicising insecurity instead of showing empathy to victims of bandit attacks. The ADC had criticised the PDP for holding a political meeting in Zamfara, only days after dozens of residents were killed by bandits. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, the party accused the PDP governors of being insensitive and urged President Bola Tinubu to declare a state of emergency in Zamfara. ADC said: “Instead of rallying around their colleague to help stop the killings, PDP governors staged a political show in a state still mourning its dead.
