Monaco drop Pogba from Champions League squad
AS Monaco have left Paul Pogba out of their Champions League squad for the knockout rounds to create space for new January signings. According to ESPN, the club chose to register recent arrivals Simon Adingra and Wout Faes instead, with both expected to play key roles in the upcoming playoff ties against Paris Saint Germain later this month. Pogba, who turns 33 next month, has endured a difficult season marked by injuries and very limited game time. He has made only three short substitute appearances for Monaco so far, two five minute cameos against Rennes and PSG in November and another off the bench against Brest.
