While acknowledging Boamah's political experience, Sadiq emphasized the people's desire for change. In the final tally, Sadiq won with 15,383 votes, narrowly defeating Boamah, who secured 14,949 votes.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe, an aspiring parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central constituency, has taken legal action against the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana following her disqualification from the upcoming parliamentary race. The EC disqualified her citing alleged irregularities in her nomination forms. Cudjoe, who is vying for the seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), believes the disqualification was unfair and not in accordance with the laws of Ghana.According to her legal team, the EC's decision violates her constitutional rights as a citizen and a candidate.
