Southwest in Joint Moves to Prevent Terrorists’ Incursion into Region

 Oyo Road Protest Over Extension Leaves Motorists Stranded

Motorists were left stranded in Ibadan as thousands of residents affected by the Ibadan Circular Road Corridor project staged a peaceful protest against the proposed road extension. The demonstration began at the Ibadan-Ife road, causing a major traffic jam, with protesters later marching through Idi-Ape to the State Secretariat, Agodi. Protesters, carrying placards and banners, demanded that the Oyo State Government stick to the original 150-metre corridor marked by ex-Governor Rashidi Ladoja, rather than expanding it—fearing more houses and community land will be affected.
