Teenage girls in Ghana continue to face significant inequalities that make them vulnerable to challenges such as pregnancy, sexual and gender-based violence, and child marriage, according to Mrs. Esther Hammond, Acting Oti Regional Director of the Department of Gender. Speaking at a two-day mentorship and empowerment camp in Dambai, she stressed the importance of empowering girls for Ghana’s future development. Oti Ferry Services Resume After Repairs, Clearing Cargo Backlog.

Ferry services on the Oti River, managed by the Volta Lake Transport Company (VLTC), have resumed after a faulty propeller left vehicles stranded for days.
