Afrobeats star Omah Lay has revealed that he once believed Davido did not like him, a misconception later cleared up before they created their Grammy‑nominated song “With You.” Speaking on the GRAMMY 2026 red carpet with OkayAfrica, Omah Lay said his perception changed after he watched a clip of Davido reacting warmly to his music at a time when he was going through a difficult period personally. “I was in the house, really, and I was going through it when I saw it, and I lost my mind,” he recalled.
