Scrap National Placement Centre – GNACOPS Director
Executive Director of the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS), Obengfo Nana Kwasi Gyetuah, has called for the scrapping of the National Placement Resolution Centre, arguing that it undermines the work of regional and district education offices tasked with resolving Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) issues. The Ghana Education Service (GES) established Placement Resolution Centres across districts and regions to assist students, parents, and guardians facing challenges with Senior High School (SHS) placements. However, Mr. Gyetuah contends that the national centre continues to overshadow these local offices, resulting in unnecessary congestion whenever placements are released.
