NYSC Extends 2025 Batch C Registration Deadline

The National Youth Service Corps has extended the online registration deadline for the 2025 Batch C Prospective Corps Members until midnight on November 11. This decision was announced by Caroline Embu, the Director of Information and Public Relations, in a statement issued in Abuja. Embu explained that the extension is to help applicants complete their registration process, especially those who faced difficulties because of network issues. She stated that NYSC regrets any inconvenience and is working hard to solve the problems and provide smoother registration for everyone. Prospective Corps Members are advised to make use of the extended period to finalize their registration before the new deadline.

FG targets 95% digital literacy by 2030 — NITDA

The Federal Government of Nigeria has set an ambitious goal to achieve 95% digital literacy nationwide by 2030, with a target of training at least 30 million citizens by 2027, according to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). NITDA’s Director-General, Kashifu Abdullahi, represented by Director of Stakeholder Management Aristotle Onumo, announced the plan on Thursday in Abuja during the Grand Finale of the Tech4Dev Digital for All Challenge 2.0. “Our aim is to ensure 95 per cent of Nigerians are digitally literate by 2030. Police Probe Murder of Lagos Designer Deb’rah Porsche

The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of interior designer Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche. She was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Lintex, late on Wednesday night in her Lagos residence. According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, a native of Otukpo in Benue State, disguised as a dispatch rider to gain access to the estate where Deborah lived. When security guards became suspicious, he allegedly scaled the fence and forced his way into her apartment. Before breaking in, he reportedly tried to cause an explosion by cutting the cooking gas pipe outside the building. NYSC Is a National Asset – Army GOC

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, has described the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as an important national asset that should be protected and supported. He made the remark on Friday at Giginya Cantonment, Sokoto, when the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, paid him a courtesy visit. In a statement by NYSC’s Acting Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, Ajose praised the strong partnership between the Nigerian Army and the NYSC, saying the military plays a key role in ensuring the safety of corps members.
