Romantic drama To Adaego With Love hits cinemas February 6
Nigerian cinemas will welcome a new romantic drama, To Adaego With Love, on February 6, 2026. The film promises a moving love story set against a sensitive period in Nigeria’s history. Set in 1975, the story follows a soldier and a schoolteacher from different ethnic backgrounds who fall in love in a country still trying to heal from past conflicts. Their relationship is tender but forbidden, and is tested by tradition, family expectations and a nation struggling to move forward. Producer and screenwriter Brenda Ogbukaa Garuba said the film focuses on ordinary people choosing love while Nigeria was still healing. She explained that it is less about politics and more about forgiveness, fragile hope and the quiet strength needed to move on in a broken world.
