NSMQ Quarter-Final Postponed After Crowd Surge at Cape Coast Venue
Organisers of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Primetime Limited, have postponed the third quarter-final contest in Cape Coast after a massive crowd surge disrupted proceedings and created serious safety risks. The contest, scheduled for Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the University of Cape Coast’s School of Graduate Studies Auditorium, was to feature three powerhouse schools — Prempeh College, Adisadel College, and Mfantsipim School. However, the event was brought to an abrupt halt when an overwhelming number of supporters forced their way into the auditorium, breaching security and overcrowding the venue.
