New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has condemned what he describes as tribal and religious propaganda being used against him by fellow aspirants in the run-up to the party’s 2026 primaries. Speaking to party supporters on Sunday, August 24, the former Vice President warned that such tactics risk deepening divisions within the party while distracting delegates from the real issues behind the NPP’s 2024 electoral defeat. “As we go into the primaries, I am very concerned that some of our presidential aspirants have embarked on religious and tribal bigotry against me,” Dr. Bawumia said.
