Troops kill eight terrorists in Borno, seize RPGs, guns and armed drone

Nigerian troops have killed eight Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists in separate clashes in Borno State and recovered heavy weapons, including rocket propelled grenades, rifles and an armed drone. Troops repel terrorist drone strikes, maintain battlefield edge

Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have repelled terrorist drone attacks during operations along the Timbuktu Triangle in Borno State, maintaining control of the area. The operations were carried out on Sunday, January 18, with close support from the Nigerian Air Force.​ Operation Hadin Kai spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba said troops advanced from their harbour and conducted intelligence led raids on terrorist enclaves in Chilaria, Garin Faruk and Abirma. NAF airstrikes kill over 40 terrorists in Borno

The Nigerian Air Force has killed more than 40 terrorists in air operations at Azir and Musarram areas of Borno State. The strikes disrupted planned attacks and supported ongoing ground operations in the North-East.​ Spokesperson for the Air Force, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, said in a statement on Sunday that the missions were carried out on January 15 and 16 by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai. NAF, Ground Troops Kill 30+ Insurgents in Borno Joint Operation

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), in collaboration with ground troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), has neutralised more than 30 insurgents in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State. Troops Neutralise 12 Terrorists, Recover Arms in Borno

Troops of the Joint Task Force, North East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), have neutralised 12 suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State. Mafa, located about 60 kilometres from Maiduguri, has been one of the hotspots of insurgent activities in Borno Central. According to security sources, the operation took place between August 29 and 30, 2025, with troops, supported by local security outfits and the Air Component Command, carrying out coordinated long-range commando offensives.
