Gaise Baba tops Nigeria’s 2025 YouTube music chart
YouTube has released its 2025 Nigeria Year in Review list, with gospel singer Gaise Baba taking the top spot on the music video chart. His song “No Turning Back II” featuring Lawrence Oyor is the most watched music video in Nigeria this year, amassing over 41 million views in just six months. The faith themed track has struck a strong chord with Nigerian audiences, underlining the growing appeal and impact of gospel and inspirational music. YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub Saharan Africa noted that Nigerian content continues to travel globally, with around 70 percent of viewing time coming from outside the country.
