Soludo Raises Concern Over Vote Buying in Anambra Election
Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has decried incidents of vote buying during the ongoing governorship election, especially in Nnewi South Local Government Area. Soludo spoke to reporters after voting at his polling unit in Aguata, noting that while the election was generally peaceful and well-organized, there were serious concerns about voter inducement. He said the only major issue so far has been reports that some voters in Nnewi South were paid as much as N15,000 to sway their votes. Soludo expressed disappointment over the unethical behavior, warning that it can undermine the credibility of the electoral process.
