Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has said the government must not get comfortable with a rebased inflation figure and lose the fight against inflationary pressures. Policeman ‘shoots’ immigration officer in Niger

According to a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama,  reports that the incident occurred around 12:30pm on Friday. Makama quoted intelligence sources as saying a surveillance patrol team from the ‘A’ division police command in Minna, led by Ibrahim Paiko, was on routine patrol near Obasanjo complex when they encountered a group of road construction workers carrying iron rods suspected to have been stolen. "Upon noticing the police, the workers abandoned the materials and fled. Thieves Electrocuted While Stealing Streetlights in Nigeria.

In Bayelsa State, Nigeria, two suspected thieves lost their lives while allegedly attempting to steal solar-powered streetlights in the Ogobiri community of Sagbama Local Government Area.The tragic incident occurred near the Niger Delta University's New Site and the Ogobiri roundabout. The thieves had reportedly already brought down four streetlight poles and were trying to dismantle a fifth when it fell onto high-tension wires, electrocuting them on the spot.Theft of streetlights has been a recurring issue in the area, raising concerns about public safety and infrastructure security.
