Nearly 3,000 New Voters Registered in Oti Region’s Mop-Up Exercise.
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana successfully registered 2,988 new voters in the Oti Region during its recent mop-up voter registration exercise. Among the new registrants, 1,541 were female and 1,430 were male. A significant portion of the newly registered voters, 1,998, were between 18 and 21 years old, while 954 were older than 21. The EC also noted that 11 persons with disabilities were part of the newly registered voters. This effort forms part of Ghana’s broader strategy to ensure that eligible citizens are prepared to vote in upcoming elections.
