Beyoncé becomes Forbes listed music billionaire

Beyoncé has been confirmed as a billionaire, joining Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen and her husband Jay Z in Forbes’ small group of music billionaires. The American singer and entrepreneur reached this milestone through record breaking tours, a strong music catalog and expanding business ventures. Forbes highlighted how her Renaissance World Tour in 2023 grossed nearly 600 million dollars and cemented her status as one of the world’s biggest pop culture figures. She then reinvented herself with a 2024 country album, Cowboy Carter, which opened new commercial doors and set up an even more successful tour in 2025. The Cowboy Carter Tour grossed more than 400 million dollars in ticket sales and about 50 million dollars in merchandise, according to estimates cited by Forbes. Trump questions Netflix’s $72bn Warner Bros deal over market dominance concerns

US President Donald Trump has signaled possible concerns about Netflix’s plan to acquire Warner Brothers Discovery’s movie studio and HBO streaming networks in a deal worth $72 billion. Speaking at an event in Washington DC, he noted that Netflix already holds a significant share of the market and suggested that combining the two companies “could be a problem.” Netflix and Warner Brothers announced on Friday that they had reached an agreement to bring major franchises such as Harry Potter and Game of Thrones under Netflix’s umbrella, a move that would reshape the global entertainment landscape. The deal still requires approval from competition regulators. The BBC has contacted Netflix, Warner Bros, and the White House for comment. Netflix, which began in 1997 as a DVD-by-mail service, has grown into the world’s largest subscription streaming platform. If approved, the merger would solidify […]

Joshua, Paul Promise Knockouts Ahead £100m Miami Fight

Two-time world champion Anthony Joshua and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul have promised knockouts in their highly anticipated £100 million eight-round heavyweight bout set for December 19 at Miami’s Kaseya Centre, streamed live on Netflix. Joshua, returning after a knockout loss to Daniel Dubois, fiercely declared he’ll “break” Paul’s face and body, stomping all over him. The 6’6" Joshua must weigh in under 245 pounds, while Paul, much smaller at 6’1", expects to enter at 215–225 pounds. Paul, with a 12-1 record, called Joshua one of the best heavyweights ever and said he’s willing to “die in the ring” to win, promising to avoid Joshua’s power for eight rounds. The rules prohibit post-weigh-in rehydration. Both fighters downplayed criticism over the match-up, focusing on their determination and huge payday. Joshua is now training with Oleksandr Usyk’s team, having split from his former coach. […]

Paul Backs His ‘Delusional Optimism’ to Upset Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul, YouTube star and boxer, has boldly declared that his “delusional optimism” will help him upset British former world champion Anthony Joshua in their upcoming bout in Miami next month. Paul, 28, who previously defeated a much older Mike Tyson in a controversial 2024 bout, will face the 36-year-old Joshua—significantly taller, heavier, and more experienced—in an eight-round contest. The fight, set for December 19, has raised widespread safety concerns with the British Boxing Board of Control refusing to sanction it, and former champion David Haye warning it could be Paul’s “last day on earth.” Paul, with 12 wins and one loss, insists his self-belief sets him apart and challenged doubters to “be ready to be shocked.” Anthony Joshua stated he will show Paul “respect” but is “going to break his face,” promising to prove superior in the ring. Joshua […]
