NBA anti graft panel renews push against corruption

The Nigerian Bar Association Anti Corruption Committee has joined the global community in marking International Anti Corruption Day 2025, restating its commitment to fight corruption across Nigeria. NDLEA Arrests Lagos Hotelier, Seizes 1.7 Tonnes of Cannabis

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested Lagos hotelier and notorious drug baron Frank Chijioke Ibemesi, popularly known as Chisco Bee, following a protracted surveillance effort. Ibemesi, 42, was detained early Saturday at his Daisy Garden Hotel in Isolo, Lagos, where officers led him to a warehouse containing 42 jumbo bags and four cartons of Loud cannabis, totalling 1,762.8 kg. The raid also yielded cash in multiple foreign currencies. In concurrent anti-narcotics actions, the NDLEA intercepted efforts to distribute processed skunk from Osun, confiscating 11,135 kg of cannabis and detaining seven suspects. NDLEA Strengthens Maritime Operations, Trains Officers in UK

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has enhanced its maritime surveillance and interdiction capabilities after officers completed specialized training in the United Kingdom and Lagos. Led by DCN Aminu Danjuma Jega, the six-man NDLEA team visited UK maritime and border enforcement facilities from October 19–25, 2025. Guided by Mr. Errol Flynn Macdonald of the UK Home Office, they received hands-on exposure to best practices in maritime intelligence, port security, and inter-agency coordination. The training included demonstrations at Tilbury and Felixstowe ports where inward-bound Nigerian containers were screened using layered inspection and risk-based procedures. Officers witnessed live presentations by the UK National Deep Rummaging Team and learned advanced vessel rummage and drug detection techniques. NDLEA arrests woman with ammunition for bandits in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a woman in possession of live ammunition reportedly intended for bandits operating in the area. She was apprehended during a stop-and-search operation along the Tsafe–Gusau highway, Tsafe Local Government Area. The woman, from Birnin Magaji, had concealed the ammunition inside her luggage. NDLEA Arrests Musician, Uncovers Lagos Illicit Drug Laboratory

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a Lagos-based musician, Godspower George Osahenrumwen, popularly known as Steady Boy, for allegedly attempting to receive a consignment of illicit drugs smuggled from the United States on behalf of his manager. In a statement released on Sunday by NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi, the agency also confirmed the discovery of an illicit drug laboratory in the Ajao Estate area of Lagos State, where synthetic cannabis (known locally as “Colorado” or “Colos”) was being produced. Businessman Excretes 127 Cocaine Wraps After Arrest in Kano – NDLEA

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has arrested a 52-year-old businessman, Ejiofor Godwin Emeka, at the Kano airport for allegedly ingesting 127 wraps of cocaine. NDLEA Open to Exporting Cannabis Oil, Bans Local Use

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has stated it is open to the controlled export of cannabis oil to boost foreign earnings but remains firmly opposed to its local consumption in Nigeria.
