NDC Sweeps All 15 Seats in Upper East Region.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has achieved a historic milestone in the 2024 elections by winning all 15 parliamentary seats in the Upper East Region, fulfilling their "Agenda 15/15" strategy. This included reclaiming the Binduri seat, the only constituency previously held by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).In the 2020 elections, although NDC’s presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama won Binduri, the parliamentary candidate lost to Abdulai Abanga of the NPP. However, in this election, Issifu Mahmood of the NDC claimed victory with 21,943 votes against Abanga's 7,811 votes.The NDC retained key constituencies such as Bolgatanga Central, Bawku Central, Pusiga, and Navrongo Central, among others.
