Mampong MCE hails NDC on galamsey fight progress
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Yakubu Issifu, has commended the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for its early steps in addressing illegal mining, widely known as galamsey. Speaking on Nhyira FM’s morning show, Mr. Issifu argued that it is too early to criticize the government after only nine months in office. He stressed that some water bodies in the Ashanti Region have already shown signs of recovery under the NDC administration. “Some of our water bodies have regained their natural state in just a few months,” he said, urging patience and support for the government’s policies.
