Mampong MCE hails NDC on galamsey fight progress

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Yakubu Issifu, has commended the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for its early steps in addressing illegal mining, widely known as galamsey. Speaking on Nhyira FM’s morning show, Mr. Issifu argued that it is too early to criticize the government after only nine months in office. He stressed that some water bodies in the Ashanti Region have already shown signs of recovery under the NDC administration. “Some of our water bodies have regained their natural state in just a few months,” he said, urging patience and support for the government’s policies. Asiedu Nketia urges patience among NDC members

National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has urged party members who have not yet received government appointments to remain loyal and continue supporting President John Mahama’s leadership. Speaking during a visit to the Asuogyaman district, Mr. Asiedu Nketia explained that the number of qualified individuals far outweighs the number of available government positions, making it impossible to appoint every member immediately. “It is better to be a floor member in government than to be the same in opposition. Those teasing you for not receiving appointments are simply jealous. Stay focused and wait for your time,” he advised. He emphasized that President Mahama has a full four-year term and may carry out reshuffles, creating new opportunities for dedicated party members to serve in government. Addressing branch and constituency executives, ward coordinators, assembly members, and other groups, […]
