Your selective outrage is loud and shameful – Sammy Awuku slams NDC
On July 12, 2025, Akuapem North MP Sammy Awuku sharply rebuked the National Democratic Congress (NDC), accusing them of “selective outrage” over election-related violence during the Ablekuma North by-election rerun in Accra. Addressing a wave of chaotic scenes—including intimidation and unrest—Awuku insisted that the NDC, under former President Mahama, lacks the moral authority to criticize after similar incidents in Ayawaso West Wuogon or Techiman South. He also criticized civil society groups, faith-based leaders, and the National Peace Council for remaining conspicuously silent, calling their selective responses “loud and shameful”.
