We’ll defeat terror, restore order and peace, say Defense Minister, NSA
Defence Minister General Christopher Musa and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu have assured Nigerians that the country will defeat terrorism and restore order and peace despite current security challenges. Speaking at separate security forums in Abuja, both officials described terrorists, bandits and other violent groups as “evil” and vowed that the government would not give up or surrender in the fight against them. Ribadu warned that any individual or group seeking to spread terror, exploit communities or undermine national unity would face decisive, coordinated and uncompromising action from security agencies. He stressed that lasting peace cannot be achieved by government alone, calling for a “whole of society” approach that involves traditional and religious leaders, civil society, youth and women’s groups, the private sector and international partners.
