National Cathedral Scandal: CHRAJ Calls for Contract Cancellation, Possible Prosecution.

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has recommended a forensic audit and potential prosecution of the trustees overseeing Ghana's controversial National Cathedral project. This follows an investigation prompted by allegations from North Tongu MP, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.The report, dated November 22, 2024, highlighted several breaches of Ghana’s procurement laws. CHRAJ found the construction contract awarded to Ribade Company Ltd to be "void ab initio," deeming it a violation of the Procurement Act.
