Arrest Afenyo-Markin, NAPO, Dubik Mahama Over Missing ECG Containers – Gbande

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy Director in charge of Operations at the Presidency, has called for the immediate arrest of three prominent figures linked to the disappearance of over 1,300 containers belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) at the Tema Port.In an interview on Citi FM's Eyewitness News on March 31, 2025, Gbande demanded that Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the former Board Chairman of ECG, Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the former Minister of Energy, and Samuel Dubik Mahama, the former CEO of ECG, be arrested for their involvement in the scandal.The containers, which contained critical electrical equipment for national power distribution, went missing under suspicious circumstances, sparking widespread concern.
