Flick says Atletico 4 0 defeat was a lesson for Barca
Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said his team were taught a harsh lesson in their 4 0 Copa del Rey semi final first leg defeat to Atletico Madrid. The La Liga leaders conceded four times in a disastrous first half at the Metropolitano and now face a huge task in the return leg. Flick admitted his side failed to function as a unit before the break. He said the distances between players were too big, Barcelona did not press properly and they allowed Atletico to dominate the game. The German coach described the opening 45 minutes as a big lesson that might still be useful later in the season.
