Marseille president Pablo Longoria has revealed that he consulted his mother before approving the controversial signing of former Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood in 2024, calling it one of the toughest decisions of his career. Greenwood was suspended by Manchester United in January 2022 following his arrest on suspicion of attempted rape, assault and coercive behaviour, with all charges later dropped in February 2023 after key witnesses withdrew. Speaking to The Telegraph, Longoria said he called his mother, Begona Longoria, a former prison system worker in Spain who once received a state medal for her service. After he […]

Nigerians Calvin Bassey and Alex Iwobi also played key roles for Fulham. Nicolas Jackson (Bayern Munich): Scored in Bayern’s dramatic 6-2 comeback over Freiburg, notching his second Bundesliga goal of the season. Edmond Tapsoba (Bayer Leverkusen): Scored his third goal this season in a 3-1 win at Wolfsburg. Ismaelo Ganiou (Lens): Secured the winner in Lens’s 1-0 victory over Strasbourg. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Marseille): Opened the scoring in a 5-1 win against […]
