NPP Urges Mahama to Release Load-Shedding Timetable Amid Power Crisis

The Minority caucus of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament has called on President John Mahama to publish a load-shedding timetable to help businesses and households manage the ongoing power crisis.Speaking at a press conference on March 3, former Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam criticized Mahama’s handling of the energy sector. He accused the President of failing to address the worsening ‘dumsor’ situation, which is severely impacting small businesses like salons, welders, and tailors.Dr. Amin Adam also challenged Mahama’s claim in his State of the Nation Address (SONA) that he had resolved Ghana’s power crisis before leaving office. He insisted that the issue persisted and that the NPP administration had stabilized the situation.Calling the situation dire, he urged the government to provide a clear load-shedding schedule to allow citizens to plan effectively and minimize economic losses.
