FG Secures N250bn for Kaduna, Kano Light Rail Projects
The Federal Government has secured N250 billion to fund light rail projects in Kaduna and Kano States, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, announced on Monday in Abuja. Speaking at a world press conference, Idris said President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to balanced and inclusive development across all regions. He explained that N150 billion has been secured for the Kano project, while N100 billion is allocated to Kaduna. “Contrary to the perception in some quarters, this administration has demonstrated uncommon commitment to equitable development since assuming office,” Idris said. “No zone is taking a back seat.
