Land Transport Policy Will Boost Road Safety – Transport Minister
The Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali, has assured that the newly approved National Land Transport Policy will strengthen regulations in the road sector and enhance passenger safety across Nigeria. Speaking during an interactive session with members of the Abuja Transport and Aviation Correspondents Association (ATACA) on Thursday, Alkali described the policy as a landmark reform, being the first of its kind in the country’s history. “This policy provides a framework to harness the untapped potential of the sector. With its passage, the transport sector has been moved to the next level,” he said.
