Lagos fire incidents: NIA pledges swift insurance claims settlement
The Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA) has assured victims of the Sept. 16 fire outbreaks at Afriland Towers and Emab Plaza in Lagos that valid insurance claims will be promptly settled. In a statement issued on Thursday, NIA Chairman Kunle Ahmed extended condolences to the individuals, families, and businesses affected by the incidents, which resulted in loss of lives and property. “We deeply mourn the loss of lives and property and stand in solidarity with those who are grieving and rebuilding in the aftermath of this unfortunate event,” Ahmed said.
