Over 160 ECWA church members held by kidnappers in Kaduna, Kogi

More than 160 members of the Evangelical Church Winning All are currently being held by kidnappers in Kaduna and Kogi states, the church leadership has revealed. ECWA President, Rev Job Bagat, said in a statement that about 100 members from the Kwassam District Church Council and 30 from the Saminaka District Church Council in Kaduna State, as well as 30 from the Kabba District Church Council in Kogi State, were already in captivity before the latest abduction in Kajuru. He described the situation as deeply distressing and a reflection of the worsening insecurity facing communities across the country. Troops kill terrorists, seize arms and stolen livestock in nationwide raids

The Nigerian Army says its troops have killed terrorists, arrested suspected gunrunners and recovered weapons and stolen livestock in multiple coordinated operations across the country. A source at Army Headquarters said the forces have sustained offensive operations with “remarkable successes.”​ According to the source, troops of 1 Brigade Combat Team 3, under Operation Fansan Yamma, engaged terrorists at a crossing point near Magami village during a fighting patrol in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State. Troops rescue 25 hostages arrest 10 suspects in nationwide raids

The Nigerian Army says its troops have rescued 25 kidnapped victims and arrested 10 suspects in a series of nationwide operations carried out over the last 48 hours.​ According to a source at Army Headquarters, the suspects include alleged bandit collaborators illegal miners violent extremists and a suspected arms dealer. Kogi orphan in coma after uncle’s brutal attack over missing phone

A 20-year-old orphan, Muhammad Abdulmumin, is fighting for his life after being allegedly beaten into a coma by his uncle in Adavi LGA, Kogi State.
