Police confirm abduction of four in Oyo, launch rescue mission

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of four persons by suspected bandits along the Igbeti–Kishi Road in Oyo State. Police Public Relations Officer Ayanlade Olayinka said the victims were travelling in a vehicle on the route when the attackers struck and forced them into the bush. He noted that the case was immediately reported to the command, prompting a swift security response. According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has ordered a coordinated search and rescue operation involving police tactical teams, other security agencies and local vigilante groups. Troops rescue eight kidnapped wedding guests in Kano

Troops of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have rescued eight of the 10 people abducted by suspected terrorists at a wedding in Dabawa, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State. Bandits burn Niger police station, church, abduct five in fresh attack

Bandits have again attacked Agwara local government area of Niger State, burning the divisional police station and a church and abducting about five residents in an early morning raid.
