Army rescues 62 hostages, kills two terrorists in Kebbi, Zamfara

The Nigerian Army has rescued 62 hostages and neutralised two terrorists in renewed operations against bandits in Kebbi and Zamfara states. The raids were carried out by troops of Operation Fansan Yamma Sector 2 Joint Task Force, working with other security agencies and local vigilantes.​ Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, 8 Division, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi said the hostages were freed from Munhaye Forest in Zamfara State, a notorious hideout of bandit leader Kachalla Alti.
