NITDA, NBC forge new alliance on digital transformation, media oversight
The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) have agreed to deepen collaboration on digital transformation and media regulation as technology and broadcasting increasingly converge in Nigeria. The partnership was sealed during a courtesy visit by NBC Director‑General Charles Ebuebu to NITDA Director‑General Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi in Abuja. Abdullahi said NITDA is undergoing an internal transformation from a traditional civil service body into a high‑velocity, smart public sector institution capable of responding to fast‑changing digital realities. He explained that, because most staff came from the mainstream public service, the agency launched a cultural reorientation focused on people, mindset reset, capacity building and a work culture that supports innovation and accountability.
