AAMUSTED Launches Academic Journals to Bridge Research and Policy in Ghana
The Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has launched two academic journals to promote research and innovation for national development. The journals, titled the Journal of Technology Education and Applied Science (JTEAS) and the Journal of Applied Social Science & Entrepreneurship Education (JASSEE), are designed to make research accessible to policymakers, educators, and entrepreneurs. Speaking at the launch in Kumasi, Professor Isaac Boateng, Pro Vice Chancellor of AAMUSTED, emphasized that these journals aim to close the gap between academics and policymakers. He noted that many valuable research works end up in paid international journals or in university libraries, making it difficult for politicians and decision-makers to access. “These journals will create a free platform where findings can be shared to guide development,” he said.
