Lyle Menendez Denied Parole After 30+ Years in Prison
In a major setback for the Menendez brothers, Lyle Menendez has been denied parole, just one day after his younger brother Erik also saw his bid for freedom rejected. The decision comes more than three decades after the infamous 1989 murders of their parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez, inside their Beverly Hills mansion. The case remains one of America’s most notorious family tragedies, still sparking debate over justice, abuse claims, and rehabilitation. The California parole board ruled against Lyle Menendez, now 57 years old, after a lengthy hearing on Friday. The board acknowledged his genuine remorse and numerous positive changes in prison, including educational and mentoring contributions.
